CLOSED: Blue Apple Book Review and Giveaway

Giveaway Winner:

@RachaelSimmons4

Congratulations

I was recently sent two books by Blue Apple Books to review.

Bears Underwear Mystery by Todd H. Doodler

This is a sturdy hardback book suitable for ages 2-5 years old. In it, Bear is on a mission: Follow the trail of underwear. Find all TEN and you'll be THERE!

So off Bear goes to follow the trail, which consists of clues and simple rhymes.

The sturdy, colourful book will appeal to the younger readers and the tabs on the each page help encourage the counting. The book doesn't just encourage counting but also encourages the reader to learn about colours and patterns: for example 'a white pair', 'stars and  stripes'.

As you follow the trail and find all ten, you come to the final page showing an underwear party where the young reader can show their counting skills and count all 10 underwear in one go.

I think this is a great book for you to read with your child and help teach them count to ten.

Dinosaurs by Simms Taback

Dinosaurs is recommended for ages 3-5. Munchkin is 6 but she absolutely loved this book as she has recently finished studying dinosaurs at school and even went to the Natural History Museum on a school trip.

Dinosaurs is a giant fold out book. You are given clues as to which dinosaur it is and then the page opens up to reveal if you were right:

The featured dinosaurs are: brachiosaurus, triceratops, pteranodon, ankylosaurus, stegosaurus, and tyrannosaurus rex.

If you have any children who are keen on dinosaurs then they will simply love this book. I didn't have much knowledge of dinosaurs and munchkin was keen to teach me! I now know my T-Rex from a Stegosaurus!
