Tots100 Film Club – Scooby Doo Spooky Games

The latest film we chose to review from Warner Brothers is Scooby Doo, Spooky Games.

With the Olympic Games having just ended, it arrived at the perfect time as I was missing watching the games on TV!

‘Spooky Games’ is an all new 23 minute episode. Shaggy finds himself competing in the World Invitational Games with Scooby as his coach! Cue Shaggy being fed pizza and cake before his race. Interesting training regime!

Obviously things do not go to plan and Scooby and the gang have to solve a mystery surrounding a 1,000 year old statue who in intent on spoiling the games.

The DVD’s run time is 113 mins approximately. After the Spooky Games episode, the DVD contains classic episodes of Scooby’s All-Star Laff-A-Lympics. In these episodes, the Scooby Doobies are in competition with the Yogi Yahooes and the Really Rottens in various locations including India and Africa!

These episodes certainly brought back childhood memories for me! I had forgotten about the likes of Yogi Bear, and Fred Flinstone and his friend Barney also make an appearance! It was great to introduce munchkin to cartoon characters that I used to watch as a child.

If you are a fan of Scooby Doo and all the favourite characters from your childhood such as Captain Caveman, Mumbly and Jabberjaw amongst others, then this is a must have DVD!

I was sent a copy of the DVD for the purposes of review. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
