Back in October we tried out Barny, ‘a delicious new bear- shaped sponge snack with a hidden centre providing a little discovery in every bite’. Then the flavours were milk and chocolate and we loved them. So we were extremely excited to now get the chance to try out the new strawberry and apple flavours!
For our Winter Little Adventure we decided to go to our local country park as they were holding some picture word trails as part of half term fun. We were given a sheet with sentences. Each sentence had a missing word and we had to walk around the lake to find the clues to help work out what the missing words were.
As part of the picture words trail, we ended up walking in parts of the park that we had never ventured into before. Even in winter, the scenery is still beautiful and with the sun shining, (for once), it made for a perfect walk.
Of course Barny had come along with us and we allowed him a little rest on the bench before he was gobbled up by the kids.
Both the kids loved Barny. With Bee it is no surprise as she eats anything and everything, but Munchkin is more fussy and doesn’t even eat strawberry jam. However she loved the strawberry flavour Barney and even asked for it to be put into her lunchbox when she returns to school!
Our favourite part of the walk was seeing this wooden owl. The detailing was so intricate!

Looks like a lovely day out.
This looks like a very lovely day out. Always love it when places give children a little quiz to do. That owl is amazing. Commenting on behalf of myself and BritMums and thanking you for taking part.
For a horrible moment, I thought they were going to refuse to eat the bears. Lovely to get out and enjoy a snack. #CountyKids

That tree is amazing. Quizzes are great for rediscovering places you’ve already visited aren’t they. Lovely photos too 🙂

If you ever find yourself in France, fear not – Barney Bears are available here although they go by the name of Petit Ourson (little baby bear)! Our boys adored then when they were little! Apple flavour is anew one to me though.
Looks like you had a fab day out!
We love Barney Bears here too x
