Bee loves getting crafty and messy! I personally don’t but I don’t want to stifle her creativity so we do end up doing a lot of messy play. So we are always on the look out for things that will help keep her clean (or as clean as possible).
Recently we were offered the chance to review a Messy Apron from Messy Me.
Messy Me design and manufacture a range of oil cloth products, using soft, high quality oil cloth sourced from Denmark and they manufacture all their products in the UK.

The Messy Apron is perfect for everything; gluing, sticking, painting, baking, playing with sand and play dough……the list is endless.
The apron arrived all nicely packaged in tissue paper….I liked this touch as first impressions always count.
Bee was excited to see the apron and liked the ‘pretty flowers’. Although I was personally expecting the apron to be whiter. It is the perfect fit for her and the neck strap is made of soft cotton so it is gentle round her neck.
We used it when drawing with chalk (she insisted on chalk rather than paints!)
Then we did use it with paints to start on our star Eid decorations.
The apron protects clothes from sticky mess but clearly wont protect the arms as it is not a full body apron. Bee doesn’t like the ones where her arms are covered so this apron is perfect; we just have to remember to roll up her sleeves if she is wearing long sleeved tops.
However what we absolutely love about the apron is the ease with which you can clean it. As it is oil cloth you can simply wipe away any paint, glue or other mess on it. Although you can machine wash it we have had no need to do so yet.
We are looking forward to using it for baking next!

it is a very pretty apron and I love that it’s easy to wipe clean. My kids could do with one for when they are cooking, come to think of it, I could do with one while I’m cooking!

I really like he design as many I have come across are only really suitable for the under 5s and my daughter is slightly older.
