Day 220 – Sunday 7th August
Met up with one of my friends and her children at our local country park Ferry Meadows. It was nice to get out and have some fun after so many hospital visits.
Day 221 – Monday 8th August
One of hubby’s friend came from London to visit dad so it was a day of cooking and chatting. We treated them to dessert from our local dessert place.
Day 222 – Tuesday 9th August
Didn’t take many pictures today as was a quiet day at home – but did take a picture of some tealight holders I got. Love these!
Day 223 – Wednesday 10th August
My parents have had their bath taken out and the bathroom made into a wet room. It looks pretty nice.
Day 224 – Thursday 11th August
We finally made it to Blackpool. I almost cancelled our booking due to dad’s ill health but glad I didn’t as he is much better and the girls needed some fun. Only downside was that it was VERY windy and was raining for most of the morning. However we managed to fit in the Blackpool Tower, The Circus and Madame Tussauds.
Day 225 – Friday 12th August
Still windy but sunnier today. Today we visited Blackpool sea life and Illuminasia. We then decided to stop off at Manchester on our way back and visited the sea life there and Legoland. (Making the most of our Merlin Passes).
Day 226 – Saturday 13th August
Quiet day at home as tired from Blackpool. Sister decided to take the girls to her house for the afternoon so I got a bit of peace and quiet and managed to put my feet up for a bit! Started to work on my blog reviews…love these glass globes which are solar lights for the garden.
Yay for Blackpool. We used to go every single year without fail growing up, so I really love it there. Hope you’re having a really nice summer (and hope your Dad is doing much better x).
