When you are struggling to buy a gift for someone, what could be a possible gift if they like books is a personalised gift book. Personalising a book makes it that much more unique and special.
The Book Of Everyone has personalised books for her, him and for kids. We were offered the chance to personalise and try out the book for kids.
Right at the intersection of heartfelt and cheeky comes this book, bursting at the seams with useful advice for kids. Thought-provoking and smile-inducing, Wise Words is instantly and easily personalised by you to them. An original gift…
I decided to make the book for my eldest as she loves reading. And as she is not far off becoming a teenager she could probably do with some wise words.
The website was very easy to navigate. You simply put in the name of the person the book is for and also who it is from and you can then go on to personalise it further.
The book has ‘wise words’ relating to different aspects of life such as, surviving school, how to feel awesome, when you are glum, and many others. It is these ‘wise words’ you can change to your own if you like.
I did feel like the personalisation options for this particular book were a bit limited. You could only really change the text. It would be a bonus if you could change the images used to reflect the child’s personality and change the images if there were some you didn’t like. There was one image which seemed to be meat cleaver in the hand with blood splattered on it which I would most definitely have changed if I had had the option.
Some of the ‘wise words’ include snippets such as ‘A flower does not compete with the flower next to it. It just blooms’, and ‘Don’t stop until you make yourself proud’.
I took advantage of the customisation options and added in some religiously inclined wise words.
The Book Of Everyone: Wise Words retails at £19.95 for paperback and £29.95 for hardback. You also have the option to purchase a digital version for £7.95 and a deluxe version for £49.95. Once you go to check out you also have the option to purchase gift wrap for £2.99.
In summary, although I loved the concept of the book and think it would make a fun and quirky gift, I personally would like it if I could change the images used.
Disclosure: I was sent a personalised copy of Wise Words in return for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love the whole concept of this book – it is definitely something that could be treasured forever and has a great ethos behind it. I agree with you it would be good to change the images as well as the words but I love it anyway.x
I love this idea and it is so lovely that you can personalise it with your own special messages.
Interesting gift, I can think of a couple of people who would like this.

I love this quote “A flower does not compete with the flower next to it. It just blooms” and also the fact you put in some encouragements regarding your faith, just beautiful. Mich x

This is lovely. I’ve reviewed the regular Book of Everyone before and loved them so much I bought a nice hardback book for my dad’s 70th, which he loved! You can change the images in those, though, which makes them a lot more personal as you can include photos.
As a vegetarian, I wouldn’t want the image of the meat cleaver either!

You’re definitely onto something here! But still, such an amazing gift idea. Will have to give it a go.
It looks like a great idea, I love personalised books like this. It is a shame you can’t change the pictures too, that would make it perfect.
