We were sent a Snuggle Sac for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
When I first heard the term Snuggle Sac I must admit I did scratch my head and wonder what on earth it was…a quick google later revealed that they are ‘cosy sleep sacs designed to replace conventional bedding’. They come in 4 sizes up to adults!
The idea behind the original Snuggle Sac creation in 1999 was to combine the attributes of a favourite teddy bear, a familiar comfort blanket and a sleeping bag to create a secure sleeping environment which helped solve disruptive sleep patterns.
There are a variety of designs available, including characters but we opted for a simple circle design….and of course it had to be pink for Bee.
When it arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see that it arrives in it’s own tote bag.
This makes it perfect for on the go and for sleepovers as it can easily be packed away again and the tote bag keeps it protected when not in use.
In addition to this I was pleased to see that it is both machine washable and can be tumble dried; no waiting in the winter months for it to dry!
What did we think?
Bee absolutely loves her Snuggle Sac. As soon as she saw it she touched it and said it was so soft. And once she got in she gave it her approval by saying ‘It is so nice and soft’.
We haven’t replaced the duvet and sheets with the Snuggle Sac as she does sometimes get up in the night to go to the toilet and while she is half asleep I do feel she would struggle with unzipping the Snuggle Sac and getting out of it. However she has been using it in the living room, snuggling up on the sofa and it was perfect when she had a slight cold as she could get warm and cosy in it on the sofa while she rested up. I can see it getting a lot more use in the winter months.
The Snuggle Sac is priced at £50 and available to purchase from Ollie and Leila, a site ‘born to give you quality, timeless, beautiful bedroom furniture that is designed to bridge the gap and help you make the most of childhood and your home’. Although this does seem a lot, the Snuggle Sac is very good quality with sturdy stitching and I do feel it will last a long time. It measures 180cm x 70cm and therefore there is a lot of room for Bee to grow into it. It comes with a 12 month guarantee and The Children’s Sleep Charity also endorse Snuggle Sacs.
