Bee is so different from her sister and loves all things pink, dolls, teddies, clothes and shoes. So when we learnt of the new range of Silver Cross dolls prams….with some being pink…..of course she had to see and try them out!
Play like Mum have a range of dolls prams and pushchairs to suit any taste, with the main colour choices of the new range for 2017 being pink, grey and black. We decided to opt for the the Silver Cross Pioneer 5 in 1 Dolls Pram. It had lots of pink (to suit Bee’s tastes), but also had some black which I felt made it look more stylish.
I remember getting a basic pushchair for my eldest when she was younger…and if I am honest I wasn’t impressed by it as I felt it was flimsy with the material falling apart easily and dropping off from the frame. Which is why I had been put off from getting Bee one. However there is no such worry with the Silver Cross pram; the frame is strong and sturdy and the material used is very good quality and made to last.
Whats in the box?
The pram obviously comes dismantled in the box, with the frame, wheels, hood and pram part all separate. However the instructions are clear and you can put the pram together in no time at all. It took less than 5 minutes to get it all together….and then it was ready to be played with.
Features
What I absolutely love about it is that it is looks exactly like the real pram from Silvercross, so little ones in their play can truly believe they have a proper ‘real’ pram for their dolls.
The front swivel wheels are just like a real pushchair, making it easy to manoeuvre. In addition to this it has an adjustable hood and bumper. The handles can also be adjusted as your child grows so there is sure to be many years of play with it; the height can be adjusted from 44cm-76cm.
And the best bit? You can use this in a variety of ways:
- As a carrycot
- Forward facing pram
- Rear facing pram
- Forward facing pushchair
- Rear facing puschair
Converting it from a pram to a pushchair is as simple as using some poppers to raise the bottom of the carrycot to turn it into the pushchair.
And just like a real pushchair it has a handy, roomy basket to store the dolls accessories…or even snacks on a day out!
And if you have a lack of space in the house to store it, it conveniently folds down to take up less space!
The Silver Cross Pioneer 5 in 1 Dolls Pram retails at £59.99. This does initially seem a bit of a hefty price tag but once you see and feel the quality of the pram/pushchair, and knowing it should last a good few years, it is more than worth it.
Bee has been enjoying putting her various dolls in and pushing them around the house. She was even tempted to try to get Rosie the cat to get in but clearly the cat was having none of it!! She has been asking to take it to the park but with the weather being a bit temperamental at the moment we haven’t had a chance. It has become a firm favourite in the house and getting lots of use. A perfect gift for a little one wanting to play at being mum!

Oh I would have loved one of these when I was little, I always wanted a dolls pram but never had one! Looks awesome x
Oh, that is just gorgeous…
Eliza wants a new pushchair for her luvabella doll and this looks perfect, just like a grown up one 🙂
Wow – I had a real Silver Cross for my children and that really does look like a mini version of it! So cute!
That is so lovely, my daughter would have loved that when she was younger. It certainly looks very realistic
This pushchair is amazing my 6 year old daughter loves it in every way. Frame is strong fabric is beautiful. One of the best pushchair for years. I would give it 10/10 just wish it was a little higher handle height. This is much better than the surf that she had. We had so much trubble with that.
It is fab isn’t it? Bee loves it too
Buying a silver cross pram for our granddaughter wouldnt buy any other have still got my own dolls pram a silver cross of coarse and its 63 years old and still looks good all three of our daughters played with it it had plenty of use but looked after but its too big for her at the moment so buying a smaller one

Hi there would you say this pram is suitable for a tall 3 year old? xx
