Sunday 30th September
Up at 5am to collect hubby from the airport. Bee actually got ready in 30 minutes..she was that keen to go collect her dad. Collected and back home for 10.30am….then took the eldest to horse riding at 11.30. They have 4 new rescue horses. Made friends with one by giving him a polo! Then had to give all the others a polo as they were all watching. Then a relaxing afternoon and opening presents the hubby had brought home with him.

Monday 1st October
Hubby didn’t go to work today as he was still recovering after his 35 hour journey. Did a spot of car shopping as his car was letting out smoke before he left and it is just too expensive to fix and not worth it. Went to one car place and got welcomed by a cat…was a good 10 minutes before anyone else turned up.

Tuesday 2nd October
Another day spent car shopping and then sorting out insurance and road tax. After school was the eldests meeting with the form tutor. Was a complete waste of my time as he was directing his conversation to my eldest saying that she seems unhappy since she has been back at school. She keeps saying she’s fine but noone seems to be listening…even while standing there waiting to go in her head of house walked past and told her to smile. If someone keeps hassling you then it does get annoying, especially if you keep saying you are fine. Really not sure what to think and beginning to get paranoid that they are now watching us. After her meeting it was a full first governors meeting in the evening and then finished off my review for the Mind Designer Robot.

Wednesday 3rd October
Wish I was Rosie and could sleep all day. Feeling so tired and only just Wednesday. Had my Quran class in the morning which was a couple of hours as making up for some lessons missed….then came home and cooked….then got the kids from school…karate after school…then home, dinner, homework and bed. Not much else today.

Thursday 4th October
A quiet day at home and finished off a blogging review for Zoomer Hungry Bunnies.

Friday 5th October
Been feeling a bit tired and fed up all week and not really sure why. Was also my neighbours funeral today. Watched as the family got together when the hearse arrived and said my goodbyes in my own way. The funeral guys were very respectful, even acknowledging me standing there. Then took my mum for physio as she has some arthritis in her knees and they gave her a walking stick. In the evening vented out my frustration on the buddleia bush which needed chopping down anyway…and then Bee used the branches to make a den.

Saturday 6th October
After mosque did Bee’s school homework which was related to dinosaurs. Kept it simple…seen some really elaborate dinosaurs being taking into school..but wanted it to be Bee’s homework with her effort and not mine. I hate crafts but we managed this between us.
Oh no! That is a shame that the school isn’t listening to your eldest. I am sure you would know if she wasn’t fine.
It would be nice to be a cat and sleep all day.
Those Zoomer Hungry Bunnies look like so much fun.
The homework looks fab! x

The zoomer bunnies are pretty cute!
Mashallah I love the dinosaur project. I am exactly the same when it comes to crafts so dread Science a Week and World Book Day etc! I also let my daughter use her ideas and help do her costumes and projects as want her to learn and make the effort but quite a few parents in our school have clearly done all the work and say otherwise obviously!
Oh gosh yes I am not keen on all those either..including dress up days!
I’m with you on the school crafting. I don’t mind crafting that I choose, but thankfully N hasn’t yet come home with any project work to make
I generally try to avoid crafting as much as I can!
Horses are my favourite animal, what a stunner ! #365

He certainly was lovely!
I loathe it when they say build a model or something like that for school as I’m not talented that way and H doesn’t have the patience/dedication to do it. Hope things settle for your eldest at school – I can imagine it’s irritating for her.

Hope so too as think she is getting annoyed and its beginning to worry me a bit!
Welcome home to your hubby and how nice to bring presents back.
Glad you got a car sorted out.
Totally agree on the homework, should be their effort not yours.
Poor bush….lol……hope you feel better in yourself soon.
Feeling a bit more positive this week thanks!
This post has so much that I wanted to respond to!
1. 35 hour journey! holy smokes! I was complaining about my 14 hour one. Al hamdililah
2. I’m sorry your eldest is getting questioned so much by the tutor…that must be so annoying!
3. Is your Qur’an tutor online/in-person? Masha’Allah! If it is online, can I have their info š
4. Sounds like your week is so productive!!!!!! masha’Allah hope you had a restful weekend!!
Best,
K.T. Lynn
If he gets a direct flight its usually 7 hour flight and 2 hour either side to get to the airport which is what her are used to…this was just meant to be an extra 3 hours added to the journey time..think he will be going direct next time!
No my quran tutor is a local lady. I could ask her if she will do online if you want.
Always better when kids do it on their own (with a bit of help!)
Looks like hubby had a long trip. Rest was needed I imagine. Your girls are growing so fast Foz…
Sending you love.

Rest certainly was needed!
It is scary how quickly they seem to be growing up x
Love her dinosaur world. glad your hubby is finally home and you’ve got a car sorted. School really seem paranoid about your daughter don’t they, surely they are going to make your daughter feel very insecure if they keep questioning her like this. You must be cross about it #365
I am a bit cross and if it carries on I will be going in to speak to them. I may end up changing her school as they are even beginning to make me feel paranoid that they are watching us
Alhamdulillah hubby is finally home and I love how you had to give all the horses a Polo because they were watching! How cute! Always love presents from Pakistan, only part of going there I like haha!
It’s funny isn’t it how the men seem to keep telling her to cheer up and smile. That’s a bit sexist in my opinion, maybe she doesn’t feel like smiling but if she says she’s not unhappy and you as the parent think she’s fine, then the school should not interfere!
Need to get you round to my garden to sort it out! Mashallah you seem really green fingered!
The head of house who told her to smile in front of me is actually a female so don’t think it is a man thing…although it seems to be the male teachers who are saying she is unhappy….it is bothering me so much I am thinking to arrange a meeting
Wow, what a long journey your husband had! I don’t suppose the early start on Monday helped your tiredness.
It must be annoying for your daughter having the teachers keep asking her if she’s happy. I wouldn’t like that as a parent either. I hope it stops soon!

I am actually thinking I should arrange a meeting with them to sort it out once and for all
I really love the dinosaur diorama in the final pic: I should get my kids to do something like that #project365
She had fun making it
