Project 365 – Week 50 of 2018

Sunday 9th December

Another day of doing absolutely nothing. Eldest still feeling rough and she didn’t even go horse riding…so I knew she wasn’t faking it or anything as she would never normally miss her session. So another day of just cosying up and watching films. Couldn’t be bothered to cook so decided to order a takeout. Nephew popped round to drop something off so he went and collected the food for us so we didn’t have to pay the delivery charges.

Monday 10th December

As hubby went to work yesterday he decided to take today off. It was nice having some time together without the kids and we went to lunch. Hubby wanted to try the restaurant from where I had ordered the food yesterday. I also started feeling a bit rough – think I caught the girls cold. Started feeling rough but had a full governors meeting at the school in the evening so took some meds and went.

Tuesday 11th December

We were invited to the panto at the local theatre. It was press night and although we had been offered tickets on a different day, I decided as it was a one off it would make it special for Bee to have an evening out. So straight after Rainbows she got changed in the car and we headed to the theatre to watch Peter Pan at the Key Theatre. Still feeling a bit rough so had some meds before we went and managed to feel OK during the panto.

Wednesday 12th December

Still feeling pretty rough and spent all day in bed. Managed to get my latest blog post about Muslim Mums in Business live…featuring Anafiya Gifts. Had to take Bee to her Quran class in the evening so while she was there myself and eldest popped into Matalan as we had a 25% off voucher which expired today….got myself some new pyjamas, socks and a dress for Bee. Eldest didn’t like anything……so treated her to a Costa instead. I tried the Hazlenut Praline Hot Chocolate and liked it.

Thursday 13th December

Feeling better today but rested up…hubby had cooked some Daal last night so I didn’t have to cook today. Bee had her Christmas party at school today and she received a book from school and decided it would be a good idea to sit outside school to read it! Honestly the kids don’t seem to feel the cold.

Friday 14th December

Another chilled out day to be honest. I like Friday’s as it is the only day where there are places to be after school. So got home….made the girls some hot chocolate and just rested up.

Saturday 15th December

Took Bee to karate in the morning. I am not liking this new place as much as it so cold! It is in a boxing gym so guess they can’t have the heating on for those that are working out…but it leaves me with really cold feet and legs….going to have to start wearing thermals when we go after the christmas break. Tried out some vegetable rice in the instant pot. Came out ok but to be honest I don’t understand why so many people seem to love the instant pot so much. I personally think cooking them the traditional slow way rather than pressure cooking breaks out way more flavour…or maybe I am doing it wrong?!

Love the photo of Bee reading her book. Hope you are feeling better now. I feel your pain with the cold – this is what I have with rugby and football!
It was really nice of your nephew to go out and pick up the food for you.

hope your cold does not get to bad. Lots of lovely food photos again this week. Glad she liked her book enough to not want to wait to read it.
Shame those Costa cups are not reusable, they are very festive.

I have no idea on instant pots but they do seem popular at the moment! The top food pics look so tempting… #project365

They do seem popular but I think they are over rated now
