Day 224 – Sunday 11th August
A quiet day…our Sundays seem to be a day of chilling if the eldest doesn’t have horse riding….so a bit of TV….and book reading. Did think I need to get our Isle of Wight photos into a photo book but a bit lazy…I still haven’t printed out our Scotland and Wales photos! Cheating with today’s photo as was taken in Isle of Wight.
Day 225 – Monday 12th August
Eid day today…lots of cooking in the morning and then we decided to drive to Birmingham in the afternoon to see some family. The girls found a cat on the street who was very friendly and wanted to come into the house too!
Day 226 – Tuesday 13th August
We were meant to go to Drayton Manor a few weeks ago but then I had my car accident the day before. We finally got to go today. Thankfully the weather was good and we have a lovely time with some friends.
Day 227 – Wednesday 14th August
A quiet day as recovering from the trip to Drayton Manor yesterday. Popped to the library to return some books and get some new ones for her summer reading challenge.
Day 228 – Thursday 15th August
Another day where we didn’t really do much to be honest. I have agreed to have a party for Bee next month for her 7th birthday. I have never done a party before as usually we just do a family day out but Bee really wanted one this time and wanted it at her karate place. Sat down to figure out who she wanted to invite. Then hubby came home early and we went out to eat.
Day 229 – Friday 16th August
8am dentist appointment for our 6 monthly check ups…then went to a new soft play place that had opened a few months ago. Probably the best place we have now here but the prices for some of the food was shocking. Also got a call that my car was finally repaired. Arranged to pick it up and return the hire car. It was raining and the car was backed up to a fence…so I didn’t check it properly. Got it home and realised the bumper is actually a different colour to the rest of the car. Called the insurers who said they will email the repairers and to expect a call from tomorrow.
Day 230 – Saturday 17th August
Karate this morning. Got a call from the repairers who said to take the car in next week and show them what I am concerned about as they had no-one in today. I feel I may have a battle on my hands to get this sorted. Popped to Tesco on the way home to get a few bits and treated myself to some flowers.
Ahh! Sunday’s are our chilling day too. We try not to do anything productive at all. hehehe
I’m glad you got your day out to Drayton Manor and the weather was nice for you.
That is shocking about the car. It’s obvious to see it’s a different colour, how did they not see when they were fitting it.

Exactly! I can’t believe they would sign off work like that!
What a pain about the car. Hope you get it fixed properly without too much hassle. I wish N would do some reading. Don’t think he’s done any all summer
Hopefully they fix it as the colour change is obvious
Lovely flowers and great to treat yourself. Yes I can see the colour difference with the car repairs, good luck with sorting it, you probably will have a battle over it. It’s good to have a quiet week, although it didn’t sound too quiet to me
I am ready for battle! Won’t let this go
Looks like a fun filled week. The dogems look fun and those flowers are gorgeous. We have been doing some reading too x
It was a good week!
Oh no, I hope the repairers don’t mess you around over that colour change! I really have to go back to the Isle of Wight with my son #365
Hope so too! I hate having to argue
I have not been to the Isle of Wight for ages. I hope you had a lovely time, I am the same with photos. Sorry about the car I hope you managed to get it fixed. I am sure Bee will have a lovely Birthday. Drayton Manor is still on our wish list.

You should try to get to Drayton Manor..its smaller than other theme parks but the kids love it
you are quite right to want the car sorting properly.
Glad you managed to get to Drayton Manor and had good weather.
Nothing wrong with a few lazy days

Isle of Wight looks gorgeous! I hope Eid went great and the accident wasn’t too severe. I’m seeing alot of bloggers doing summer reading challenge. That’s exciting! The karate party sounds exciting! The bumper definitely looks a different colour.
