A calming picture… But exams and waiting for ex A calming picture… But exams and waiting for exam results can be one of the most stressful times of a young persons life….which can be made even more stressful by the examiners getting the marks wrong. My eldest did extremely well in her results but got rejected by two Russell Group university’s simply due to 4 marks. The disappointment was evident as her teachers were convinced she would get the grades. She then got into another relatively good uni, where I had friends who offered to give her work experience and look out for her if she went there. So it worked out Alhamdulillah. But the fact that it was just 4 marks was troublesome. Her teacher looked at the paper and believed it was fairly marked…but it bothered the eldest so much that she eventually decided to get them remarked even though it cost £180 for 3 papers. And the other unis said they would hold her place while they were remarked. And Alhamdulillah she did the right thing, she got 5 extra marks and then two Russell Group uni’s accepted her. So she then had to decide where to go. Obviously am pleased for her but am so angry she went through all that stress because her papers were marked incorrectly. Not everyone can afford to get papers remarked but I had given her the money I’d saved for her over the years so she had it…and thankfully they will refund it as she went up a grade. If your children ever lose out on a university place/placements by just a few marks…I would highly recommend getting the exam paper remarked if you can afford it. Year 7 for Bee who was a total bundle of nerves and I literally had to kick her out of the car….and then Minu started nursery with a smile and sat down and started playing happily. The nursery spelt her name wrong which I was a bit annoyed about but easily fixed as she doesn’t recognise her name yet anyway. It’s weird…you look forward to the break from them and then when they aren’t at home it feels strange. I was so stressed out at the thought of leaving Minu….to the point of feeling a bit nauseous this morning…..but she gave me a hug and a kiss when I said I was leaving. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Am hoping that lasts and it wasn’t just a one off in sha Allah!! Hope all the children have a brilliant school year! #secondaryschool #nursery #preschool #preschooler
I had promised the girls we would go to one of the I had promised the girls we would go to one of the @redwingsuk horse sanctuary’s so had to fit it in this week before the school year starts on Thursday. A nice place for a walk and see the horses. And Bee ended up signing up to their adoption scheme for the year! For £15 you can ‘adopt’ a horse/donkey and you get letters throughout the year. I thought it would make a nice present for her as it’s her birthday in a couple of weeks!

It’s going to be a complete change in the house with 1 starting nursery, 1 starting secondary and 1 starting university. So many changes and it’s a bit overwhelming! A quick last minute trip to Wicksteed park. As I A quick last minute trip to Wicksteed park. As I got a wristband too I decided to go on a few of the rides with the girls and I’m regretting it. Seriously can’t handle even the smallest of rides…I walk out of the toddler spinning rides feeling dizzy. Minu was brave enough to go on the paratrooper (umbrella ride) and loved it. And went on the toddler roller coasters. And had a dance with Wicky Bear. I feel like my brain has been moved around in my head! Anyone else not able to handle rides anymore??
