Another year of Project 365 is over! I started this back in 2013! Every year I think I won’t continue it but still end up doing it!
Sunday 23rd December
A day of doing absolutely nothing again (Christmas holidays are generally quiet for us!). I didn’t take many pictures as we literally just watched TV pretty much all day…so you have a picture of my cereal. Trying to be a bit more healthy and pick better cereals.

Monday 24th December
Finally got out as we have had so much sickness! First took the parents to Leicester for lunch and then in the evening I went with my eldest and nephew to a charity comedy show. Was nice getting out with just the eldest and not have to worry about Bee and the comedy show had us in stitches. Got home about 11pm.

Tuesday 25th December
A quiet day. We don’t celebrate Christmas in any way so it was pretty much just watching TV today. Took Bee to her Quran class and then went to see the tutors cat. For some reason the cat is attacking people now and really being nasty to her baby kitten (who is around 6 months old). She hissed and growled at me a bit but I managed to stroke her gently…but as soon as I took the baby near her she went for her and I ended up scratched on my hands too. She hasn’t been spayed yet so have suggested that may calm her down.

Wednesday 26th December
We were meant to be go to a Bah Humbug Fest last week when it opened but due to the girls being sick we couldn’t make it. However the PR was lovely and let us pick another day to go. Basically its lots of rides where Christmas is banned..so no Christmas things and no Santa Claus! Had a really lovely time and the girls and staff member managed to convince me to have a go on the roller skates too. As it was quiet I was happy to make a fool of myself!

Thursday 27th December
Dad had his endoscopy today so hubby took a day off work so he could keep the girls while I took dad. Dad has to have them every 6 months again after they found varices at his last one…..as you can’t eat for 6 hours before and his appointment was at 1.30 he hadn’t eaten or taken his meds as he had got up late. As a result his blood pressure was a bit high so it was a bit touch and go as to whether they would actually do the procedure. But they did and thankfully found no more varices that needed to be banded so he doesn’t have to be seen for a year for that particular procedure. Got home at around 4.30 and decided to pop into town to check out the sales and to see the Christmas decorations as we hadn’t seen them yet.

Friday 28th December
Earlier in the month I had signed up Bee to myDeen magazine which is a children’s Islamic magazine. It came in her name and she was so excited to open the envelope and get stuck into the activites. Other than that it was another quiet day.

Saturday 29th December
Took the girls to watch The Grinch. Bee enjoyed it but eldest said it was a bit boring. Then went to a few shops where I had ordered stuff online and they were ready for collection. The nephew then treated us to some Krispy Kreme doughnuts although I didn’t have one as I had a mango chiller instead and a doughnut on top would have been too much sugar.

Sunday 30th December
Met up today with Nabiha’s friend and her sister at Activity World (soft play). Been meaning to go for a while as part of her friends birthday but her mum had been busy. Even today she then ended up rushing off after an hour due to some guests coming around but the girls had fun and we stayed on afterwards. Luckily another of Bee’s friends was there so she had someone to play with.

Monday 31st December
Had a bit of a dodgy stomach since yesterday morning…not sure why…and feeling a bit off today so didn’t do much. Had been planning yo go to the shops but then didn’t have the energy. Bee did some baking though and then will be an early night I think. Don’t normally do much for New Years Eve.
Have a Happy New Year everyone and hope 2019 is good for you all!
Hope youāre feeling brighter soon. Those doughnuts look full on, Iād never be able to
eat them. Itās lovely for kids to get their own post isnāt it. #365
It certainly is..they get so excited opening the mail!
Fab photos. The Bah Humbug Fest sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you are feeling better now!
It sounds like you had a lovely Christmas!
Happy new year and wishing you all the best for 2019 x

Much better now thank you!
Hope you are feeling better now. It’s great that you were able to go to a completely Christmas-free event.
I’m in awe that you’ve been doing this since 2013! Bee must have been tiny when you started. I’ve been going since 2014 and can’t believe I’ve done five full years now.

Yes I think she was only a few months old when I started
hope you’re feeling better now, those donuts look yummy, good news with your dad’s endoscope results and well done on the skating
Thank you am feeling much better now!
Assalmualaikum, hope you are ok, the doughnuts looked so delicious especially the reindeer one. I absolutely love Krispy Kreme.
Wa alaikum asalaam. Krispy Kreme are fab!
We not do anything with New Year either, away to bed and ignore it.
Nice when they receive post that is for them.
Glad your dad’s tests did not show anything suspicious.
I am not a lover of KK doughnuts
I can’t have too many of the doughnuts as they are so sweet!
Glad to hear that your Dad’s invasive procedure showed no varices this time, it must be a relief for you all.
I guess the 6-months-old kitten is going to be a sexually mature animal soon enough, and its mother probably sees it as a competition? We love Krispy Kreme donuts, but can only buy them in Oxford. We were talking with Eddie last time we bought them in Oxford that it was good we don’t have KK in town, or we’d get fat.
Yes certainly a relief.
It does seem like she is seeing her daughter as competition!
Love the decorations on the doughnuts. I haven’t tried rollerskating since I was a child and not been brave enough to take the kids #project365
Oh you should take them and have a go! I was nervous but we were all getting the hang of it by the end of it.
