Week 52 – 24 December to 31 December 2023
Wow year week of completing project 365! I always debate whether to continue and do another year but usually do end up doing another one.
Day 358 – Sunday and Day 359 – Monday
We don’t celebrate Christmas in any shape or form, and avoid going out due to the crazy traffic and last minute shopping being done. So a quiet few days at home just chilling and watching TV. Didn’t take any pictures.
Day 360– Tuesday
Another day at home….did a bit of online shopping but then just chilled and watched TV. Hubby had got us a couple of packets of these which we demolished.
Day 361 – Wednesday
Met up with a friend at Dobbies. While Minu played in the soft play we had a hot drink and just chatted. Then headed out for a spot of lunch. I decided to try the somasa chaat. It was ok but it was too spicy even for me.
Day 362 – Thursday
Husband had a day off and we decided to head to Birmingham to do some shopping and see family. We all got up late though so didn’t get to do as much shopping as I wanted. I just got some outfits and we ate out. The food was ok but nothing special.
Day 363 – Friday
Headed out to the shops first thing as the girls needed new pyjamas…..it was fairly busy and were glad to get home. A new dessert place recently opened up and we have been meaning to try it out. Decided to order takeaway rather than go they don’t start delivering until 6.45pm and we didn’t want it that late. But as I had promised them dessert we ordered from a different place.
Day 364 – Saturday
I had ordered some bukhoor which arrived today. I like the smell of both thankfully so will be using bukhoor more in the home.
Day 365 – Sunday
Cheating a bit as this was yesterdays picture but we played with the Gelli bath again. We don’t really do much for New Years but I will be staying up as its the first year the cat will be with us for New Years and I am not sure how she will react to the fireworks. Another quiet day at home….the Christmas holidays are usually the ones where we don’t do much.
Hope 2024 is a good one for us all.
It sounds like you had a nice break at the start of the week. That snack mix looks so good and the meals out too. The Gelli bath stuff looks like fun, my girls used to love it when they were younger.

I love how you have so many food pictures. Your waffle picture reminded me that we’ve got a new dessert place in town and I really should take N before I start my healthy eating.

I was not familiar with bukhoor, so I had to google it. I might get one to see how it smells. I usually have candles instead of incense because I like it better, but this might be different.
Some of them smell really nice while others can be really intense
