Week 16
Back to school week!
Monday Had to go to Specsavers for Bee’s contact lense check up to check her eyesight with them and make sure they aren’t irritating her eyes. All was fine and we signed up for the contacts, but I wasn’t expecting them to take 2 months payment in advance, so that was a bit of a hit on the wallet. Then ate out with a friend. Headed to a new place where we hadn’t been before. I opted for the chicken fries and was a bit disappointed. Barely any chicken or fries, and packed full of onions. And the table was disgustingly sticky.
Tuesday Back to school for the older two girls. Husband was off work today to allow me to go to Squirrel Scouts in the evening without Minu. We had some new young people join and it was a good start of the term.
Wednesday Back to our Wednesday toddler group. Was nice to get back after the Easter break and see everyone.
Thursday I had to cancel our Friday group but we discovered the outdoor group we went to last year was restarting so decided to sign up to the one instead. Was nice to get back outdoors.
Friday We headed out to a friends coffee morning where they were celebrating Eid, was nice to catch up with some friends and have some lunch together. I had got Minu some new wellies for the outdoor group and now she insists on wearing them everywhere.
Saturday A quiet morning at home. Bee got out her k’nex and made some things. She made a plane although I think I am holding it upside down in the picture! Went to see the parents in the afternoon as the eldest was having a break from revision.
Sunday Had a meeting in the morning and then went to the park to give the Squirrels some peanuts. Was nice to get out. Then had some lunch in town.
Ouch to the two months in advance!! I was very glad when Isaac and Eliza were told they didn’t need glasses The outdoor painting looks fun
Sadly glasses seem to run in our family.
I remember the days when I had a toddler who would insist on wellies all the time. Minu’s are pretty cool in all the rainbow colours though. Sounds like the contacts are going well for Bee.
The plus side is she get them on and off herself!
I am glad the contacts are going well for Bee.
Those chicken fries do look disappointing, all I can see is lettuce and onions. Ugh.
I do like the sound of the outdoor group, it will should be good with the weather warming up. x
Kim Carberry recently posted…Our weekly meal plan! 22nd – 28th April. #MealPlanningMonday
Yep definitely was just lettuce and onions!
