Today my Friday Wisdom is the words of Tariq Jahan, the father of one of the young men killed in the riots. See my post here.
“Today we stand here to plead with all the youth to remain calm (and) for our communities to stand united. This is not a race issue.”
“Blacks, Asians, whites – we all live in the same community. Why do we have to kill each other?
“I lost my son. Step forward if you want to lose your sons. Otherwise, calm down and go home.”

I am amazed by this man attitude. His son just got killed and the words he is sharing are words of love and unity. He is showing us that in front of the worst we can still face life with an open heart and don't fall into revenge or hate.
May God bless this man and help him and his family in this time of hardship – He definitely has a level of Faith we should all try to reach.
Hope things are getting better. Take care Foz and thank you so much for choosing to share this with us today.
OMG, what a mess. I cannot believe what is happening. I echo Marie, it takes a lot to have faith in this situation, much less losing a child as well.
I am praying for everyone everywhere who desires peace, but cannot (for various reasons) achieve it.
I am confident that the UK will be back to normal soon, inshaAllah.
Love you for the sake of Allah.

Soul touching words. I agree with Marie, how brave and kind he is to pass the message even when his heart grieves in the loss of son. Jazakallahu Khairan!
Btw, I joined you for the first time. Here is my post. I appreciate this initiative.
May Allah Bless Us.
