It is coming to that time of year again.
The chaotic scenes as parents rush out to get school uniform for their children ready for the start of the new year.
OK maybe not that chaotic….unless like me you sometimes leave it until the last minute.
If I am honest, the most I have previously purchased from the Matalan School Range was a pair of trousers. This was because I couldn’t find Munchkin’s size where I normally shop. So I was interested to see what their full range was like and was pleased to be selected as a Matalan Blogger to review their Back to School uniform, which is up to the age of 16.
I must admit the ‘easy iron’ is what appeals to me the most. Ironing is the bane of my life so anything to make life easier!

Skirts and Pinafores are also available but because Munchkin does not wear them we declined the offer to review them.
Munchkin absolutely loves the Hello Kitty shoes. They look cute but smart. They don’t feel flimsy and do feel as though they should last. Munchkin wore them and said they were comfortable to wear. They are easy to wear and take off due to the velcro straps. Munchkin can’t handle laces yet!
The summer dress is also very smart. We particularly liked the lace neckline and the lace on the top of the pocket. A little bow on the side of the dress also makes a nice touch.
Munchkin looked very smart in her summer dress. This particular style is the Flippy Gingham Dress, is available for ages 3-13 and is priced at £7.
The cardigan completes the outfit and is nice and light. It is a basic scallop edge design but is very smart and is priced between £5 to £7.
The blouses also felt as though they were good quality. We particularly liked the butterfly embroidery design on the blouse pocket. The bonus is that these are easy iron shirts!

And the best thing of all? They ARE relatively easy to iron.
The prices are reasonable and low and the clothes seem good quality. Munchkin liked the shirts and the summer dress and she can be quite fussy about what she is willing to wear!
