We recently reviewed Q Pootle 5: The Great Space Race and Other adventures, so we were pleased to also receive the Q Pootle 5 Christmas special.
Although we don’t actually celebrate Christmas, I love the festive atmosphere and grew up watching Christmas cartoons and films. So was pleased to hear of the Q Pootle 5 Christmas Special.
It’s Christmas time on Okidoki and all is calm as Q Pootle 5 and his friends prepare for the happiest time of the year. All is bright too, with the new festive lights festooned across the shack, ready for Groobie’s pantomime. But, when a mayday call interrupts the rehearsal, the friends suddenly find themselves in an epic adventure in which the very future of Christmas is at stake!

About the series
Q Pootle 5 is produced by Snapper Productions with animation by BAFTA-award winning animation studio Blue-Zoo.
Without revealing too much, Father Christmas crash lands (no reindeer!) and Q Pootle 5 and co have to help Father Christmas to make sure he gets off to deliver all his presents! Obviously if they don’t there will be no presents anywhere! The episode really is festive with a rehearsal for a pantomime, Father Christmas, lights and snow.
Bee at the moment doesn’t sit for too long to watch a programme but Munchkin enjoyed watching it all. What is also fun for the children is that the DVD cover has a quiz asking questions relating to the episode, and also the words to the song ‘Our favourite time of the year’ featured in the episode.
Any Q Pootle 5 fan will love this special episode.
