Day 342– Sunday 8th December
It is mums birthday tomorrow but decided to get the cake today and get the brother down today too as I am usually busy with after school activities for Bee on Monday evening.
Day 343 – Monday 9th December
Got another book added to my book series on IGTV where I do quick book reviews. This time the book I chose was My Special Angels which I have previously reviewed on the blog too.
Didn’t go bike riding again as hubby ended up taking today off work to allow me to take dad to the hospital for his pre-assessment for a cataract operation. The appointment was booked at 2.40pm which is school run time…but he has been waiting for well over a year for his op and received a cancellation appointment. They couldn’t do it last time as his blood pressure was out of control and he literally can not see much out of the eye…and didn’t want to wait any longer so didn’t say no to the appointment.
Day 344 – Tuesday 10th December
We were invited to the press evening for the panto at one of our local theatres. Last year it was Peter Pan and this year it was Beauty and the Beast. It was a lovely evening and a fun panto.
Day 345 – Wednesday 11th December

Day 346 – Thursday 12th December
Day of dads operation. I didn’t take them as he had to be at the hospital at 8.15am. Although hubby was home to do the school run I had an appointment of my own at 9am. So my nephew took them and dropped them off. Then my brother came aswell so thankfully there was someone to pick him up if it took longer than 1pm as my nephew had to go to work and I had Bee’s nativity to get to at 2pm. However dad was done just after 12. The operation went well and hopefully his eyesight will now be ok. Can’t share the nativity pictures…so here is a picture of Rosie who just would not budge from the stairs and I was having to step over her.
Day 347 – Friday 13th December
Another quiet day….had received a book to review and did a quick post about it on Instagram/Facebook as wanted to share that they had free delivery until the 15th.
Day 348 – Saturday 14th December
Karate in the morning and then Bee’s karate Christmas party. We don’t usually go to Christmas parties but they also hold end of the year awards so we went incase she was awarded one and also to support her friends who may get one. She didn’t get an award but had a lovely time with her friends..and even practiced her splits. She is determined to do the full splits soon and is almost there.

It sounds like you had a lovely time at the karate Christmas party. Good luck to Bee with doing the splits. I could do them many years ago.

I’m glad your dad’s operation went well. It will be such a relief for him to have his sight restored. Your mum’s birthday cakes looks very nice. How lovely to get to go to the press night of your local panto. Sadly my daughter always seems to miss out on performing on press nights as they have two teams of kids.

hope your dad recovers well , sounds like a lot of juggling to get him there and back but great how families pull together to make things happen.
