Bee loves a good story, particularly at bedtime. When she was younger it could be hard to muster up the energy to read her a story…or after the story she would still be wide awake! It would have been ideal to have had a tonies® Toniebox to help when she was keen on bed time stories!
What is a tonies® Toniebox?
The Toniebox is a children’s audio system which allows your child to have screen free story time. The soft audio cube works by placing different Tonies on top, which help provide stories, music and factual content. And you can even record your own content!
What is in the box?

In the Toniebox Starter set you receive:
- Toniebox
- Creative Tonie
- Charging Station
- Set up Instructions
Setting up the Toniebox
To set up the TonieBox you will need to connect it to your Wifi but it was very simple to do and the whole process did not take long. We did it all very quickly using my mobile. You will need to create a Toniecloud which again is straightforward, and once that is all done your Toniebox is ready to use.

To then make the Toniebox work all you have to do is place a Tonie on top of the box!
Features of the Toniebox
The Toniebox is made from sustainable fabric and is available in 6 different colours: blue, pink, purple, red, grey and green. The ‘ears’ are volume control and you tap the sides to skip forward and back. There is even a headphone jack which will come in handy if you are travelling and your child takes the Toniebox with them.
Once charged the Toniebox can be used for around 7 hours and can even be taken out with you. This is because once your content has been downloaded to the Tonie there is then no need for WIFI for for it to be played. The creative Tonie that comes with the starter pack allows you to upload 90 minutes of your own content. This can be managed on the website/app and the content can be deleted and replaced with different content as and when you want.
Additional Tonies

The fun doesn’t just end with the starter pack. You can get additional Tonies to work with the Toniebox to provide even more content!
We received Disney The Little Mermaid Tonie which has the songs and also the story and also a Favourite Childrens Songs Tonie.

What did we think?

Bee was particularly impressed with the box. She immediately noted how soft the cube was and loved holding it. I do think though that as a fairly mature 7 year old some of the Tonies may be a bit too young for her; for example the Favourite Songs Tonie has songs like Old McDonald in, which she doesn’t really sing much anymore! (They grow up far too quick!) However I can see this appealing to the younger children as the Toniebox and Tonies are recommended from ages 3+. The cube is perfect for the little ones as it is so easy to use. All they have to do is pick the Tonie they want and place it on the top of the Toniebox in the magnetised area…and it is ready to go!

We loved the creative Tonie and of course you can be as creative as you like with it. For now we have used to it add some of her favourite songs to it and also some religious prayers for her to listen to before bed!

The tonies® Toniebox Starter Set retails for £69.95 and each additional Tonie retails for £14.99. You can visit the tonies® website for more information.

Lovely idea. My daughter is 3, and she would love something like this.
Oh wow, this looks amazing! I would love one for the kids, God knows how hard the bedtime can get when they both want different things – eldest loves a bedtome story, while the toddler lacks the attention span for it, so would be great to help manage bedtimes, either play songs to the little one and read to the eldest, or play the story and go off to handle the little one 😉
What a great idea! I would give it to my 4 year old niece. She started school in September and is really starting to get into stories.
Salam and Hiya.This looks amazing!
As cheeky as it sounds I would give this box to myself so that my two girls (3 and 5) can be occupied listening to the stories. They both love reading so it would be a great addition to our household!
I think my two youngest children would really love their own Tonies. They love listening to stories together and it looks like such a fun way to do this
I’d give the Toniebox to my three sons. Love the features of the box and the different characters you can get.
