Week 23
Back to school after half term. It was birthday week!
Monday Eldest turned 18. We didn’t do anything today as we did it all yesterday. She had a revision session at school and then came home and was revising for her exam tomorrow. I attended a volunteer morning for The Raham Project where I volunteer when I can. They were saying thank you to the volunteers with some food and a get together
Tuesday A quiet morning. Headed to Squirrels after school. Our session was on Hajj and we taught them some BSL signs related to Islamic phrases and hajj.
Wednesday My birthday today. Didn’t do much except take Minu to her toddler group. Also headed to the park after I picked up Bee from school as we had to wait for the eldest to come out of her exam. Husband did suggest we go to Leicester to eat in the evening but its a school night, I didn’t fancy the journey while potty training….and frankly it isn’t relaxing for me dealing with a toddler the whole time; it’s not as though I can eat in peace. Instead he brought home some cake after work and my nephew had treated me to a takeaway in the afternoon.
Thursday Back to our outdoors play group. Spotted this gorgeous butterfly.
Friday A quiet day. I had planned to go to a coffee morning but dad had rearranged his diabetic eye check to day so had to take him there. Didn’t take any pictures as didn’t do much else.
Saturday A quiet day at home doing the laundry and general tidying up. I had some old henna at home so decided to try it out with some stencils I recently ordered. Eid is coming up again but this time I don’t want to way around £60 to get it applied on us all…so trying out the stencils. Wasn’t bad to be honest.
Sunday Decided to head to the park in the morning. Took some peanuts with us and this time there were lots of squirrels and they all seemed hungry. Then headed to the parents house for a bit.
Happy birthday to your oldest, and also to you. How clever having henna stencils – they look really good
So easy to apply yourself!

Hope all went well with your eldest’s exam. Happy belated birthday to you – that cake looks delicious. Lovely photo of the cinnabar moth – we used to get them in the garden but I haven’t seen one for ages. The henna looks good. #project365
