When Hotter Shoes say they are shoes to fall in love with, they are right. I did!
I recently attended a blogger event at our local Hotter store with a friend and both of us came away impressed.
I had seen the store in passing but never went in as I felt like the shoes were for the older generation. So before I went to the event I was concerned that I wouldn’t like any of the shoes. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Hotter started in 1959 as a slipper making business, with it’s first retail store opening in Southport in 2002. By 2013, 50 stores had opened with a launch in Germany in 2014. There are now currently over 71 Hotter stores and after my current visit it is easy to see why the shoes are becoming so popular.
One of the things that amazed both myself and my friend was how light they shoes felt when you held them. Once you tried them on, some of the shoes almost made you feel as if you weren’t actually wearing any!
And their secret?
Air bubble filled soles.
They also use soft leathers which are breathable and pliable. And the best thing is that it appears most of their shoes are made of cow leather rather than pig leather. (Some muslims will not wear pig leather shoes).
Hotter shoes have a #comfortconcept which involves ‘flexible soles which include special grooves that yield and support your feet as you walk and pillows of cushioning create a slipper like feeling underfoot.’
I am usually quite good when it comes to buying shoes; I walk into a shop and am out in literally 10 minutes. But with the Hotter shoes I just could not immediately decide! (From thinking I wouldn’t like any of them, to struggling to pick just one pair!)
I initially fell in love with their Antoinette Black:
And then fell in love with the ‘Hattie’ style:
Seeing as a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes, I ended up getting both the Antoinette and the Hattie!!
Since purchasing them I have worn the Antoinette on the school run, and when going to friends houses. Many have noticed them and complimented me on how nice they look! After having children, I sometimes have issues with heels, even slight heels, but I am finding these very comfortable and can also easily drive in them.
One of the things I loved about Hotter was the enthusiasm of the staff. They clearly were knowledgeable about the shoes and had a passion for them. Some of the staff were even wearing the shoes themselves. They also have a personalised fitting service to make sure the shoes you pick are a perfect fit for you. In addition, they have half sizes which is just perfect if you are in between sizes!
Hotter also have a 100% Happy Guarantee. If you are not happy with your shoes, whatever the reason, you can return them within 90 days of purchase.
I certainly have fallen in love with Hotter shoes and am sure to purchase more in the future! I now also have my eye on one of their handbags!
I wasn’t the only one who was impressed with the shoes! My friend who attended the event with me struggled to choose between the Hattie, Lauren and Cruise styles! We spent an extensive amount of time trying to decide!
She also couldn’t decide on just one pair and opted for the Hattie and the Lauren. However, it appears as soon as she got them home her sister took the Hattie!
My friend was impressed with the Cruise style. It was extremely light and she said it felt as though she wasn’t wearing any shoes! We were so impressed I think some could say we got slightly carried away!
