Disclaimer: We received a Rofy Hockey Stick of our choice from Hockeyspullen for the purposes of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
When at home, the eldest can usually be found in her room, reading a book and generally hibernating in her room. However, at school she is actively involved in sports including netball and hockey. She is part of the hockey team and since year 8 has been going to the school matches on a regular basis. I do tend to encourage sporty activities as in today’s society it can be so easy to be drowned by technology both at home and at school, which generally means being indoors a lot.
I also enjoyed hockey as a child so when she expressed an interest in it, I was happy to support her. So we were pleased to get the chance for her to have her own hockey stick from Hockeyspullen. After initially leaning towards an orange stick (her favourite colour), she chose the classic blue 50% carbon mid bow.
- Made of 50% A-Class Japanese carbon
- Mid Bow curvature of 24mm
- Special ROFY toddle grip
- Extra reinforcement on the backhand
- Curvature of the sticks starts 300mm from the hook
- Suitable for players at all levels
- Mid bow curvature means the stick is suitable for the rear/middle players
What did we think?
The stick itself felt extremely light weight and looks stylish. The eldest was pleased with it and couldn’t wait to get it to school and use it.
The stick received compliments from her friends and teachers. My only concern is the fact that the grip and the back of the stick are white. After a few weeks use the grip already has marks on it. But should come off with a good clean. However it does appear to give a good grip which is important in the game.
She loves playing with the stick and because it is so lightweight she feels it has improved her game.
Although we aren’t experts when it comes to hockey sticks, we are both pleased with the hockey stick and would recommend the Classic Line. Lightweight and stylish it is a pleasure to play with.
