Cancer is something that everyone fears. Having lost a few relatives to it and also having a recent cancer scare with my own father, the cancer charities are amongst those that I am always happy to support.
It is devastating to lose anyone to cancer, and I can only imagine the heartbreak that parents must go through if a young person is diagnosed with it. So I am always pleased to see new ways to help support research into cancer.
My Doodles is proud to announce that it is now actively supporting and working with Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens to help fund kinder cures and treatments for young people facing cancer.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. It’s also the biggest funder of research into childhood cancers in the UK.
In order to raise awareness and to raise funds, the My Doodles designers have created some special products for Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens: the dragon and the unicorn. Available across a variety of products such as USB, headphones, and tablet cases, a minimum of 50 pence from each sale goes directly to Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens.
As part of the partnership, My Doodles has also introduced the Fairy which was been designed by cancer survivor Bella. She was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia when she was very young, and the designs are available now in store and online.
The ambition of Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens is to double the amount spent on children’s cancer research over the next 5 to 10 years, to accelerate progress and find new cures and kinder treatments.

HI Fozia, raising money for any research is good, but raising money to help research into childhood and teenage cancers has to be one of the tops. It would be excellent to read that the amount spent on children’s cancer research has doubled in five years, can you imagine how many lives that will save and how many heart aches it will prevent?
My Dad had cancer and several of my family members have passed away due to cancer, so it’s a charity that is close to my heart.
