Clearly the Quran is important in the life of any Muslim; it provides details on how to behave and how to live your life. So if you are simply reciting the Quran without understanding anything then it can be hard to follow or implement it’s teachings. And indeed even struggle in general with your faith.

That is why I am going back to basics and learning the translations of surahs with my Quran Tutor and this book is ideal to help not just me but to help my girls learn the meanings of the surahs they will be learning in sha Allah.

With the help of this picture book, your children will be able to read Juzz Amma in Arabic and instantly know the basic meaning of the verses through engaging illustrations

It is so important to understand what you are reciting and this is where the book comes in. However I do feel that it is probably a book that the younger ones in particular will not be able to use alone. I do find myself using simpler words to get across the meaning to Bee. However she is 6 and the book is recommended for ages 7+. But the literal translations helps us start a discussion and I can reword it so that she understands. If a child doesn’t have strong reading skills or vocabulary then they are likely to need assistance to understand.

The illustrations are simple and colourful and clearly relate to the surah being discussed.

The only suggestions I could make is to possibly have the transliteration of the Arabic for those who’s Arabic is weak or even those who don’t know Arabic to help them when reciting the Arabic.
