Sunday 7 February – Day 38

Not much happening today really. Days are just merging into one. Hubby got some chocolate orange buttons for the girls. They were really tasty…I love the chocolate orange combo.
Monday 8 February – Day 39

The eldest was asked by her food tech teacher to make something and she made this lemon pie flan for dessert. It was pretty tasty/
Tuesday 9 February – Day 40

I felt a bit guilty today as haven’t really been doing much with the girls. Once their online classes are done they usually watch TV or are on their games. So I made the effort to do some baking with Bee. The biscuits turned out pretty good.
Wednesday 10 February – Day 41

We had a lot of snow forecast but only a light dusting made an appearance overnight. We did have a snow shower later on and Bee went out hoping there would be enough for a snowman but sadly it didn’t last long.
Thursday 11 February – Day 42

Final day of online classes for Bee as they have given a screen free day tomorrow. We actually quite liked the routine of the classes. She wasn’t overworked and enjoyed seeing the teachers and kids – next week half term will be kind of boring to be honest.
Friday 12 February – Day 43

Bee received a nice surprise in the mail. The school had to post out a book that the kids would need for after half term and they also sent a home learning award and sweets for them too. It was a lovely gesture, as they also ensured the sweets were halal so Bee could actually eat them.
Saturday 13 February – Day 44

A bit of a tidy up day. The girls helped me tidy my bedroom as had a bit of back pain. Bee was enthusiastic in helping! A pack arrived in the post from the local theatre. I had signed up to a project where we have to make a Shoebox Theatre during half term. I wasn’t expecting a lot so was surprised when all this arrived. Once we make it we have to send in a photo and it will be added to an exhibition later in the year.
That lemon pie flan looks delicious – well done to your eldest. We only had a dusting of snow too. Glad that home-learning has worked out well for you. How lovely of the school to send out home learning awards and sweets. Hope you have fun making the shoebox theatre. Sophie and I made one last year and she really enjoyed it. #project365
was surprised at how tasty it was!
That lemon pie flan looks so good. I could just eat a slice now.
What a shame you didn’t get much snow and what you did, didn’t last long.
It sounds like Bee has got on great with the home learning. We are ready for the break here.
Aww! That is a lovely surprise delivery from Bee’s school. So thoughtful of them. x

Yes it is the little things that are appreciated
Love the shoebox theatre idea. That’s a good lots of supplies they sent. We’re the same with half term – online lessons have worked well here. I’ll still be working so it’ll be hard to keep N off screens all day if it’s too wet or cold for him to want to go outside with his dad on the farm.
Yes was so surprised at all the supplies!
The shoe box theatre looks interesting, nice to receive everything needed to complete the project. Lots of yummy sweets and desserts this week.
Was a surprise to get pretty much everything that was needed!
I am also struggling to fit things in with the boys too. It is so difficult. I am a fan of chocolate orange so will have to keep an eye out for those buttons. That is so nice of the school to send out certificates and sweets. I wish ours did something similar. Not long left hopefully. Hope you had a good half term.

I hope half term is a good break for you all. My son would love those chocolate buttons #365
It’s been a quiet one
Orange buttons! I might not have been able to share ;0) Some lovely baking going on in your house. We have got into a bit of a nothing routine. What a lovely thing for the school to do. It’s the little things like this that mean so much at the moment #365
I didn’t want to share lol!
Well done of the home learning award and I love chocolate orange buttons
They are so good aren’t they?
I really love those chocolate orange buttons. I always buy a pack when I see them! Your eldest has done a lovely job with that lemon flan. It looks tempting. Am so impressed the school sent a certificate and sweets, that really is very kind of them. I really like the Shoebox Theatre, look forward to seeing how the girls get on with that.
