Day 324 – Sunday 20 November

A quiet day. Baked some cookies. Used some Hotel Chocolat flakes we had left which were out of date instead of chocolate chips. Don’t look that neat but tasted really good.
Day 325 – Monday 21 November
Had to get on with some cooking and the only way I managed it was by giving Minu some pots and pans to keep her busy. Then in the evening had to go to a meeting at the eldest’s school about a trip to America in February. It is a lot of money for us but think it would be a good experience for her.

Day 326 – Tuesday 22 November
After a week of sickness we finally got to go back to our toddler groups. Was nice to get out…we both needed it.

Day 327 – Wednesday 23 November

Another toddler group today and then in the evening our first official Scouts Executive Committee meeting. It has taken us a while to get here but things are now more official and we should be starting up the Cub Section in January.
Day 328 – Thursday 24 November

A quiet day at home today. The window cleaner turned up and Minu was confused. She stood inside shouting at him!
Day 329 – Friday 25 November

Was thinking to take Minu to toddler group in the morning but she woke up late so then didn’t bother. Just chilled at home and snacked most of the day! In the evening dropped off Bee at karate and paid for new kit for her. Her gloves were getting small and she also needed a pair of continuous gloves. I also ordered a new headguard for her…as she is entering more competitions I want her to be better protected. The total price did make my eyes water!
Day 330 – Saturday 26 November

Bee at karate in the morning and then after lunch headed to our local country park who were holding a Winter Fair. They had offered us free ice skating but weekends are the only time we can go and hubby works…an adult is needed to go on with Bee and I had to stay with Minu. So we gave that a miss. Just had a wander around and Bee got a waffle to eat. For some reason she didn’t want to go on any of the rides so that saved me a bit of money!
Those cookies do look good. Who cares that the chocolate flakes were out of date, I would have still used them too.
The trip to America for your eldest does sound like a good experience.
hehehe Minu shouting at the window cleaner did make me chuckle.

She really does like to shout these days!
Kids are so expensive with all the extra curriculum activities. Glad to hear you and Minu have ventured back to baby groups, shame about the ice skating
Yes it nice to get back out again
That waffle looks good. Glad you’re back and enjoying the toddler groups. I know what you mean about kids’ sports costs adding up. N only had new trainers and football books in September, but now it turns out that 1 pair of studs don’t work because you need metal studs for soft ground, so that was a second pair (and he’s now in adult sizes), and then astro trainers for school football. I reckon kit for football is more expensive than just the racket and trainers needed for tennis!
It probably is more expensive!
The america trip sounds wonderful. We have just had two secondary school trips, one for Eliza and one for Isaac come through, plus Sebby’s Year 6 residential. All together will cost £2000 – don’t know where we are supposed to find the money.
That waffle looks amazing
Yep we are paying £1200 for this and thats without meals and spending money
Those cookies look yummy. Lovely to get back to toddler groups again. The photo of Minu shouting at the window cleaner made me smile. #project365
They were thank you
You are so good with making things, those cookies look fab! Glad you managed to get out to toddler group again, a change of scenery is always so reviving when you have little ones and get cooped up indoors. Minu shouting at the window cleaner made me laugh! Bless her. That waffle what an indulgent treat, I would have enjoyed one too.
