One of the most important things that we as Muslim parents should do, is teach our children about Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). This needs to be done in a fun and engaging way from a young age and an age appropriate way. And this is where ISLAMSTORY tries to help.
What is ISLAMSTORY?
ISLAMSTORY is an educational card game aimed at children 10+ which illustatres major events in Prophet Muhammad’s (ﷺ) life. The game was created by Luqman Editions whos mission it is to provide educational support.
Since 2014, Luqman Editions is laying the foundations for a new universe of educational games focused on the pleasure of playing together, and immersion in islamic themes.

How to play ISLAMSTORY
Contents: 80 cards and 1 copy of game rules
There are 3 difficulty levels to the game:
- 3 cards – easy
- 4 cards – medium
- 5 cards – difficult
You first shuffle the cards and then decide what difficulty level you are playing at. Each player receives that number of cards and the remaining pile of cards are placed face down.
The first two cards on the pile are turned over and they are used as the starting point for the game. They should be placed face up in front of you.
Taking it in turns each player picks one of their cards and puts it in the right place in the life story of the Prophet (ﷺ). The card contains a summary of the event to help you if you need further information about the event. Once the card is placed you can flip it over to check if it is in the right place. If it is incorrect, place the card in the discarded pile and choose a new card.
The first player to correctly place all their cards in order after a full round, wins. There is some additional game play if it ends up a draw.
The game is also reviewed in the light of the work of Sheikh Al Mubarakpuri.
What Did We Think?
The game is a useful tool to aid your older children to learn and to revise the major events. The cards are good quality, and are a great way for the family to get together and learn while also have fun.
