Spot’s Birthday Party at Peterborough Key Theatre

Spot is having a very special birthday party and everyone’s invited! With integrated Makaton, FREE party hats, catchy songs, dancing and lots of interactive party games, this is going to be the best birthday party ever.

Spot has been around since my childhood and now Minu also has some books about Spot! So I was excited to hear that Spot is coming to Peterborough!

Spot has been an integral part of childhood for over 40 years since he first appeared in the first ever lift-the-flap storybook Where’s Spot? in 1980, a ground-breaking innovation in children’s books at the time, which propelled the book to the top of the bestseller list within weeks of publication and it has remained in print ever since. In the 44 years since Spot bounded into hearts of families world-wide, the Spot series of books has sold over 65 million books sold worldwide, with books translated into over 60 languages, as well as a firm family favourite for people of all ages, as parents and grandparents who discovered Spot in their own childhoods, now introduce a whole new generation to the World of Spot and friends.

And now you can experience Spot in an interactive live show!

Thomas Merrington,Creative Director at Penguin Ventures said: “We are thrilled that Spot will be returning to the stage in this brand-new adaptation. The amazing cast bring the story to life with great energy and charm, inviting the audience along for the ride with some great interactive moments that both children and grown-ups will love. The inclusion of Makaton was also introduced to ensure the show is accessible to as many children as possible. Get ready to shout, laugh and dance along with Jess, James and Amber to celebrate Spot’s Birthday in this fantastic production which see’s Spot leap off the page and onto the stage”

Spot is coming locally to Peterborough on 14 & 15 March 2024 at the Peterborough Key Theatre. For more information please visit
