A hot week, nothing special..just school and toddler groups.
Week 24 – 11 June to 17 June 2023
Day 162 – Sunday
Quickly headed to the shops in the morning before it got too hot and then just chilled at home. Tried out a new mango flavour Pepsi drink the hubby had got. I really like it.
Day 163 – Monday
I volunteer with a local support group which focus’s on women from ethnic minorities, and they are starting a walk and talk at the local park once a month. Today we met up at the park and discussed it, and then went for a quick walk around the park, which wasn’t so quick as Minu wanted to stop and look at all the birds and squirrels. As we were finishing we spotted one of our friends so stopped and chatted to her and gave the squirrels some nuts. Then headed to Full of Beans to meet another friend.
Day 164 – Tuesday
A busy day today. Headed to our toddler group first, then headed to a muslim mums meet up for an hour. From there we headed straight to a lunch club with the group I volunteer with. It is held at a family centre and they do lunch every Tuesday which is £1 for an adult and 50p for a child. I had the cheese flan which was really nice and a good portion for £1!
Day 165 – Wednesday
The guinea pigs from toddler group were all out today and came up to me to take a piece of carrot. They are so sweet and am so tempted to get some myself!
Day 166 – Thursday
Our outdoor toddler group today. I almost didn’t go as didn’t want to be standing around in the hot sun, but thankfully they had a gazebo which we could stay under if need be! And the heat wasn’t too intense.
Day 167 – Friday
A quiet day. Was thinking to go to a toddler group but Minu didn’t wake up till 9. So just popped to the parents for a while after she got up. No pictures.
Day 168 – Saturday
A quiet Saturday. Eldest went with her dad to a uni open day. I wanted to go with her but decided it would be too much with the toddler. Popped over to the parents for the morning and then just chilled at home. Just sharing a picture of my red roses as didn’t take a picture of much else.
That’s a bargain lunch. Looks really tasty. It has been so hot isn’t it. Glad they had some cover at the outdoor group.
Yes the outdoor cover was a blessing!
My fella got some of that mango pepsi and I tried it, I wasn’t keen but I think that was more down to it being Pepsi than the mango.
It sounds like you have had a busy week with volunteering, meet ups and toddler groups.What a nice walk around the park and that is a fantastic portion for £1!

I’m not sure how I feel about the mango pepsi – I’ve never been a big fan of the flavoured ones! I do like Cherry though.
Looks like you’ve done loads – I love taking my toddler to groups. Only chance I get to speak to other adults (apart from my husband) most weeks!
